What is the B20 Forum?

B20, the private sector´s voice of the Group of Twenty (G20), works to develop consensus-based concrete policy proposals for the G20 leaders, seeking to develop global policies to address the most pressing challenges. B20 Regional Consultation Forum is a joint event of the Business20 Chair - the Group of Six (the leading Argentinian business associations, namely ADEBA, BCBA, CACS, CAMARCO, SRA and UIA) - and the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) in partnership with the International Organisation of Employers (IOE).

The heads of major companies and business associations, senior representatives of the G20 governments and leaders of international organizations will discuss the B20 recommendations to the G20 leaders aimed to ensure that digital transformation is a driving force of global, innovative, inclusive and sustainable growth. Participants will reflect on new business models and public policies supporting change, promotion of digital infrastructure, digital literacy and skills, advancement of private-public cooperation for bridging technological divide in a socially sustainable and responsible way. The debate will contribute to the B20 policy recommendations, which will be finalized at the B20 summit in autumn in Buenos Aires, and presented to the G20 summit on the 30th of November – 1st of December 2018. 

 

Who are the St. Petersburg B20 Forum participants?
The B20 Forum's sessions are attended by:

    • B20 Taskforce representatives: Chairs, Co-Chairs, Knowledge partners, Network partners
    • Executives of major Russian, foreign and international companies: CEOs, Chairs of the Board, Deputy CEOs
    • Leaders of Russian, foreign and international business associations
    • Officials from the Government of the Russian Federation: Deputies of the Prime Minister, Ministers
    • Heads of International Organizations and Multilateral Development Banks

 

What is the programme of RSPP at SPIEF?

Together with its partners, RSPP is organizing two panel sessions of the B20 Forum and three Business Roundtables “Russia-France”, “Russia-Japan” and “Russia – North America”. For detailed information please refer to the Programme section. Please note that the programme is being regularly updated.

 

Where and when will the events of the St. Petersburg B20 Forum take place?

The B20 Forum's panel sessions will be held on May 24, 2018. The “Russia – Japan” Business Roundtable will be held on May 24, 2018 as well. The “Russia-France” and “Russia – North America” are scheduled for May 25, 2018 (NB: the schedule is preliminary and could be changed).
RSPP events will be held on the same site as the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
Venue: ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Centre, 64/1 Peterburgskoye Shosse, St. Petersburg, Russia.
The travel time between ExpoForum and the historical centre of St. Petersburg is around 30–60 minutes, depending on traffic. Pulkovo International Airport and several of the city’s major roads, including the St. Petersburg Ring Road, the Moscow–St. Petersburg Highway, the Western High Speed Diameter, Pulkovskoye Shosse, and Peterburgskoye Shosse are located very nearby.

 

How can I take part in the St. Petersburg B20 Forum and other RSPP events at SPIEF?

To visit the RSPP events, guests are required to have a SPIEF badge. If you are a registered and approved SPIEF participant you can collect your badge at any accreditation point.

What about accommodation and other logistic issues (transport, visa support etc.)

Guests are expected to arrange accommodation in St. Petersburg hotels, visas (when required) and arrival to the Forum on their own. The B20 Forum organizers are willing to provide respective advice when required. Please contact us using the contact details in the Contacts section.

Online broadcasting will be organized on the SPIEF website for those who are unable to participate in the B20 Forum sessions.
